Tiffany & Co. plans to put up for sale its most expensive piece with a clear 80-carat oval diamond. It was mined in Botswana and processed in Israel, its value has not been disclosed.

“Tiffany is always looking for the most unusual stones on the market. When one becomes available, we discuss it and how we can play it in a special and unique way, referring to the heritage, history and craftsmanship of Tiffany, ”said creative director Reed Krakoff.

The design is inspired by the aquamarine and diamond necklace created by the American jewelry brand for the 1939 World’s Fair. According to WWD, eighty years ago it was valued at $ 28,000, and now it would have cost $ 524,000. The new piece will be unveiled in 2022, when Tiffany & Co.’s flagship boutique reopens in New York after renovation.

Recall that by January 7, LVMH is going to complete the acquisition of Tiffany & Co. for $ 15.8 billion.
